An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a busy family department of a busy multi-sited law firm. The firm is a large Lexcel accredited law firm and the Family Paralegal will be based in their Essex office

The Role

  • This role will involve client contact
  • Supporting and assisting the department in the preparation and conduct of cases
  • You will need to have proven experience of working in a legal aid firm
  • You will need to show that you are familiar with the family legal aid regulations
  • Have a keen interest in making a career in this area of law

The Candidate

  • Be approachable and friendly in nature
  • Strong drafting skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills (both over the telephone and face to face)
  • Good time management skills and capable of handling a varied workload efficiently
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight timescales
  • Ability to work in an efficient, informed and accurate manner
  • Previous experience of working in a Legal Aid Firm and dealing with new client family legal aid enquiries
