My client’s corporate and commercial team works closely with other experts from across our firm including specialists in banking and financing, real estate, employment and dispute resolution when they are required.

The team, made up of 5 partners, I consultant, 2 senior associates, 4 solicitors, 1 Co. Sec. Administrator and I trainee, has developed substantial expertise across a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, technology, logistics, retail, leisure, franchising and many other areas of the manufacturing and service industries.

The firm’s corporate and commercial solicitors provide a partner-led but cost effective legal service combining high quality legal advice with a commitment to provide clients with the very best levels of service to meet the expectations set for each engagement.

The corporate and commercial law team has the depth and experience to handle a wide variety of corporate and commercial matters, including:

  • mergers and acquisitions
  • company and business sales
  • joint ventures
  • private equity transactions
  • financing transactions
  • management buy-outs
  • management buy-ins
  • shareholder agreements
  • partnership agreements
  • commercial contracts
  • IP and IT protection and licensing
  • franchising
  • restructuring
  • cross-border transactions
  • share options

Is this you?

Candidates should be well regarded, ambitious and energetic and have a minimum of 10 + years of broad ranging corporate and M&A experience with a recognised law firm (City or regional), where the ability to take a leading role on deals has been gained.

Exposure to banking and secure lending transactions would be preferable, as would some commercial law and/or intellectual property experience. Sector experience in one or other areas aligned with the firm’s sector focuses are a plus (see Department description below).

In addition, the successful candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing and business minded and demonstrate strong commercial acumen. He/she should be a team player and enjoy working in a partner-led collegiate environment, whilst actively seeking to expand the firm’s corporate and commercial practice.
