Our client is a large Lexcel accredited Legal Practice with offices in London and Essex. They have an opening for a Mental Health Solicitor and are open to full-time or part-time flexible working hours. 

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of all aspects of Mental Health and be able to satisfy the LAA Supervisor standard in the category of Mental Health Law.

You will undertake a range of work including;

  • Representation at Mental Health tribunals
  • Advice and Assistance relating to the Mental Health Act 1983, including admission to hospital, consent to treatment and aftercare provisions.
  • Obtaining independent psychiatric reports.
  • Advising relatives regarding the process and their rights.
  • Challenging decisions made through Judicial Review Proceedings
  • Court of Protection work

It would be a distinct advantage if you have Court of Protection experience.
